A half day sight seeing tour including all transport, guide and admission fees to both Waimangu Volcanic Valley and Waiotapu, two of Rotorua's best known thermal attractions. This comprehensive guided tour will give you a broad understanding of the diversity and beauty of the geothermal activity in the Rotorua region.
You'll discover Waimangu Volcanic Valley, created only ‘yesterday’ as a direct result of the 1886 Tarawera Volcanic Eruption, and featuring huge hot water lakes, beautiful sinter terraces, hot springs and a diverse, specialised native forest growing down to the very edge of hot features. And we'll take you to nearby ancient Waiotapu. This well known visitor attraction is 70,000 years old and home to bubbling mud pools, hot springs, collapsed craters and the famous Lady Knox Geyser.
Departs Rotorua accommodation daily at 08.30 am, returning at 1.00 pm.
